Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and ApplyJi ("Company", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the ApplyJi website and application (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, clicking "Sign Up", or otherwise indicating acceptance, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

ApplyJi is a job-search management platform that helps you track job applications, organise communications, and gain visibility into your hiring pipeline. Key features include:

• Manual and automated job application tracking.
• Optional Gmail integration to automatically detect and log application-related emails (read-only; see Section 4).
• Status tracking, notes, and document management per application.
• Dashboard analytics and reminders.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.

To use ApplyJi you must create an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your credentials and session tokens confidential.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately at applyjiii@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not share your account, create accounts on behalf of others without their consent, or use automated tools to create accounts in bulk.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, show signs of fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for more than 24 consecutive months after providing notice.

When you enable Gmail integration, you grant ApplyJi permission to access your Gmail account under the gmail.readonly OAuth scope. You acknowledge and agree that:

• ApplyJi reads email content transiently and in-memory solely to extract structured job-application metadata. Raw email content is never stored on our servers.
• ApplyJi will never send emails, delete emails, or modify your Gmail account in any way.
• You may revoke Gmail access at any time from Google Account Permissions or from your ApplyJi Settings page. Revocation stops all future scanning immediately.
• ApplyJi's use of data received from Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service.
• Introduce malware, viruses, or any other malicious code.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal personal use.
• Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent, including reselling access or building competing products.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of access.

ApplyJi offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed through our third-party payment processor (LemonSqueezy). By subscribing you agree to their terms in addition to ours.

• Billing cycle — subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance, as selected at checkout.
• Auto-renewal — subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date.
• Cancellation — you may cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds — we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time paid subscriptions. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Price changes — we will notify you at least 30 days before any price change affecting your subscription.
• Taxes — prices shown exclude applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes applicable in your jurisdiction.

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to software, design, text, graphics, logos, and icons — are owned by ApplyJi or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service solely for your personal, non-commercial job-search activities, subject to these Terms. This licence does not include any right to sublicense, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works.

"ApplyJi" and associated logos are trademarks of the Company. You may not use them without prior written permission.

"Your Content" means any data, text, notes, documents, or other materials you submit to the Service. You retain all ownership rights in Your Content.

By submitting Your Content, you grant ApplyJi a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim any ownership over Your Content and will not use it for any purpose beyond operating and improving the Service.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of Your Content. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or that infringes any third-party rights.

You may export or delete Your Content at any time. Upon account deletion, Your Content is removed in accordance with our data retention policy.

The Service integrates with or links to third-party services including Google (OAuth, Gmail API), Supabase (database), and LemonSqueezy (payments). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. ApplyJi is not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

We are not liable for any disruption to the Service caused by the unavailability or changes to third-party APIs.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information retrieved from Gmail or entered by you.

ApplyJi is a job-tracking tool. We make no representations about your likelihood of obtaining employment or the quality of any job listings or employers you encounter through your use of the Service.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, APPLYJI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ApplyJi and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.

By you: You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as described in Section 6.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your access immediately and without notice if you materially breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or if continued access poses a risk to other users or our infrastructure. Where termination is not due to your breach, we will provide reasonable advance notice.

Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive, will continue to apply after termination.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved after 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also be entitled to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or by posting a prominent notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, please stop using the Service and delete your account before they take effect.
